For me, there is a special drama and energy in portraying aviation.  Depicting those images is not part of my usual genre of landscape painting, but occasionally an idea will "break free" to become an "airscape", if you will.  The scene is circa 1969-1970 depicting three F-100's (affectionately called the "Hun" by those who flew them) being refueled off the coast of Vietnam by a KC-135.  The 3 fighters are being refueled prior to a ground support mission.
